its my CINDY.. the luxury motor yacht...
« on: July 01, 2015, 07:19:33 AM »

designed for model rail road city.. and sail like a breeze, at very slow speed.. she is 2.5 feet long, and 7 inches wide.. as to operate at very slow speeds, i just added a silicon gear box with a motor from the head light azimuth servo of an automobile.. its heavily brushed, but drops only 300 mah, very reliable.. as slow, just added a centrifugal thrust pump at front.. for tight maneuver.. finished in rivera silver, is PU based paint.. added lots of lights for night time operation.. fully foam board construction..

So from start to finish how long did that take ?, and what do you do with all these models..
Have thought of doing an article and submitting it to the Model boats Magazine.

%%  UNDERWATER LIGHTS ! ! You're braver than I am Krishna  O0  and that pump is very good at turning the boat , it's just forward or reverse to change directions ? as you say, only  be good for slow boats . . .

thank you John44..

Longbuild..  its all up to crafts.. degree of detailing.. and type of painting.. but almost in two days.. and i used to work 3 or 5 crafts at a time, so can saves lots of time.. usually, takes two crafts to lake side every evening, so new crafts means lots of joy.. keeps my models with me.. now almost house full.. but its so happy to see ample of crafts around me.. its all my babies..

no idea, where to start, how, and where to submit.. any guidance will be helpful..

Imsink.. its so easy to add L E D s under water.. once sealed it lives for a lifetime.. today water proof strips are also available at very low cost.. its so nice at night.. thank you..

thank you Dreamyhippo...

thank you Martin Sir..
the used bow thruster was inspired by centrifugal pumps.. its one of my old idea.. its so effective in slow moving crafts.. its so easy and can add from things around us.. here i am adding the detailed step, of my new lobster boat, is also intended for rail model city.. its also slow.. so, you can see a motor is driving a gear, inside the hull, a brass rod is downed to the hull through a brass tube.. these brass rods are welding rods, that in 2mm dia, costing 20 Rs/- here.. for railings i use 1mm brass welding rods.. so no rusting issues.. then you can see a round base made of foam board, then a circle inside the foam board base, with four blades as an impeller.. then a casing with P V C pipe, with an opening at the front side.. this can also fix at back side, to avoid any induced drag.. but this craft is so slow, no problem with opening at front.. and last, a covering for the P V C pipe.. now time to function.. when the impeller start to rotate, water must throws through the opening, to the direction of the impeller.. so it makes a counter torque, that turns the craft.. more clearly.. if we looks from above the boat, and if the impeller rotating to star board direction, water will expelled through the star board  side, forcing craft to turn to port side.. its so easy to add..
