Crane on a crane!

Not strictly a boat but a floating crane platform the Saipem 7000 working in the Troll gas field.
It's lifting a 4000 tonne module
on to a new platform. I just love the crane perched on the edge of the module.

Very nice.
This is another crane on crane on crane on crane on crane that I like.

Occasionally, one of our regatta events is to move and spot a crane barge so
that the crane operator can land the "transformer module".

Now that is an idea that could be adopted at some of the UK tug events Umi.

I have a crane company next door to where I work, Ainscough. All their cranes are Liebherr. I will have to bribe them with a few cases of Pepsi and see if I can get a ticket to this event, I know they go there.

That image of the Crane on the module being lifted by the big crane looks like a mother crane lifting an offspring that has not quite fledged into its adult colour!
