Saturday morning managed to get a few hours in. I have fitted 1/4 sq hard balsa under the deck . Fitting the braces I hope will stop or reduce the spring in the deck area when you snap fit the superstructure in place. I have used a building adhesive Sticks all from everbuild to fit the balsa braces.

Just a few pictures. I am using magnets  to hold down the cabin sections these  are glued on to  timber frames. Other pictures show bow weapons in place. Sorry to be so brief and not the best pictures but at the moment modelling time is in short supply.

I hope there will be a arc inhibtor for that 20mm gun as the 37mm crew wouldn't be too happy if 20mm rounds started whizzing past their heads!

Looking good Stan:O)

Hi guys very little done over the last month and it looks like it will be December before I get back to full time building. I have managed to do little on the Elco  I have replaced the plastic frame work on the stern section with brass wire much better than plastic. That's about all take care.

Back in the garage now just done a little on the Elco. The brass etch plate that fits around the towing eye has been put in the bin to thick for my liking. I have made one from plastic card sheet marked and drilled out for the rivet positions. I have used plastic rivets from S B Models Barrow in Furness see pictures attached more to follow on this build. The product range is called Grandt Line.

I believe Stan's garage/mancave is like a fridge at the moment and I don't blame him for staying in the warm and doing some research :-))

Hi everyone I have displayed this model at Ellesmere Port this weekend and it roused a quite a lot of interest. It proved very popular in the way it was wired and the way the rudder system was connected .I had numerous comments and thanks for displaying this plastic conversation.Pictures can be seen in earlier pages of this post.
