IOM receiver pot replacement
« on: August 06, 2015, 08:25:50 pm »

Hi I am just starting out in Iom racing and have just acquired a PJ Sails Oscar very pleased with it .  The the radio receiver is housed in what looks like a large. medicine/pill pot, it's about 67mm dial and 80mm deep with a screw top lid which has perished and cracked.Does anybody know where to obtain a replacement? I've scoured the shelves of Asda and Tesco with no luck.

Did you manage to get one?
I had the same problem and ended up buying twenty as that was the smallest order the firm I got mine from dealt in I'll use them for storage of small parts but if you need one let me know. They cost me about 50 pence each!

I was going to order one from PJ sails but they they were shut temporary to attend the nationals. So after extensive research I found that the pot that ASDA's  "Little Angeles nappy cream"  200 grams ,comes in is exactly the same size. It has a snap on lid rather than a screw on, but as it keeps what is effectively zinc and castor oil cream in it should keep water out.
