Some glue just showed up in POUNDLAND by 151 adhesives called 'FANTASTIC ELASTIC' flexible glue , It seems to do as it says on the packet, waterproof too . . . worth a look , dries clear & is applied thinly to both surfaces .

This stuff does what it says

Which rather begs the question, why buy it when a free alternative is available?  ok2

Hi Stan,
if there's a wicks near you look at there ULTIMIT GRAB GLUE  I've found it the best of them all , you can get it in white or clear  it's water proof can be put on wet, make sure you you line it up right as after 24hours  you'll never more it and its about 4 a tube I use it for anything I need to glue about the home.

                                           Regards Howard.

I just picked up some gorrila superglue, on the packet it says it has reinforced with rubber for impact strength, it has reattached the hinge to the arm of my glasses very well, mind you it does saynot reccomended for polyethelyne or polypropalene.

To clarify, are you talking about trying to glue acetate to painted brass or acetate to brass that will then be painted? If the former, your glue bond is only as strong as the paint/brass bond.
