Pleased can any one help, I require 65mm of silicone tube 12mm ID, OD can be anything but ,2mm wall thickness would be good . I have found web sites but with a minimum order of  1 mtr .

Sorry - posted a reply then re-read your specs! The stuff I have is only 10.5 OD. I'll have a root around to see if I've anything nearer. Did you see the link I gave to Ken Churchill https://www.polymax.co.uk/silicone/silicone-tubing ? They have exactly what you need at £4/metre.

Yes,  mine is on order and should be here in a day or two.  I will report on its quality when I see it.  Mine was 2mm  inside diameter but I chose 2mm walls so I'm hoping it's not two thick.

you can get silicon tube of various sizes from www.modelshopleeds.co.uk in 300mm and 150mm.long not cheap though .

Thanks for the replys , I saw the Polymax link Dave, when I highlited it it came up as min order 5 I assume this to be meters or have I misunderstud.ive just checked and it is 5meters works out at well over £20 and just for 65mm it's a bit to dear even for me
Thank you E2V but sending it from Finland would be two much for what I was after .
I will have a look on  Leedsmodelshop there's is 12.7 and would be to slack a fit .
I'll tell you what it's for ,it was to sleeve over a Huco coupling just to see if the noise was reduced , it was just a fancy idea I had . I know there are silicon drive couplers ,but I don't like that idea . Polymax do samples so it might try them but I will ring them .

If your coupling is straight, you could perhaps try a little heat shrink, which would give a tight fit?

Yes it is I have checked it with the DTI gauge and the is no run off ,good spot the heat shrink ,I give it a try, thanks for that

I think the 65mm refers to the length - not the ID.

I've converted all the Huco-type couplings in my models to flexible drive, with the tubing pushed over the splined parts of the adaptors, and they all work just fine - even at high speeds. Cut the tube to the same length as the plastic UJ piece that it's replacing. IMHO this is a better option than sleeving the whole thing as it removes the cause of the noise and vibration rather than just muffling it. I'd be happy to send you a short length to try it if you remind me of your postal address via PM.

modelshopleeds do have smaller sizes than 12.7 ID  put silicon in their search box,  they have 11mm ID which might suit.

I go along with Dave.  Mine arrived today and it connects   shaft to shaft  with a self tightening fit. No need for couplers inside.   Mind you,  I had to buy a metre so have loads left over for future boats.
