What are these tools for?
« on: August 31, 2015, 09:27:35 am »

I'm clearing out a deceased friend's garage and sorting the tools for the church car boot sale. I've come across the two tools below which I can't identify. Is the one-piece roller for laying up grp? I know he was building a kit car many years ago. Is the other one for setting saw blades?

Hi tobyker,
I think the grooved rollers are used to get the air out of the matting when laying
Up, they use different ones according to the type of matting being laid up.
If I am wrong I will no doubt be corrected. The other tool I haven't a clue.

...erm, I should have added this bit to that last link...one of the readers says it is for setting the teeth on saw blades, so you were right about that. :-))

Regards,

Ray.
