Well Finely got the Big Finnjet logo done.
Tried a new ESC that can run at a bigger voltage. She now runs faster and has a bit of power. the problem is her weight in that she cant take any so is top heavy and prone to rolling. Still got 1 or 2 ideas to try before I throw the towel in and say she not a good boat to sail. Still a few bits to finish off on her but she at least 98% done.

Very nice too John...I take it you did consider a false keel? I know it looks awful, but it may just help....

Hi Rich
Thank you.
If I had the weight to do a false keel I would . I am down to the bottom of the FINNJET logo as it stands. I am thinking of using foam to get lift and attach a keel to this. I am going to try a few Ideas in the next few days.

A really excellent job John; just to get it to sail (even if it sits a little low in the water) is a great achievement! I'm planning to build mine soon but as a slightly modified ferry with one funnel only (situated further forward than on the Finnjet). This will be in Stena Line colours.

Cheers

HI Simion . I am pleased with how she turned out. She does look like the 1977 version. I am not pleased with how she sails. I will have to have a look at her one day. She has sat on a shelf since june.

Hi all
Over christmass did a few mods to her with good results so took it foward and made a device to fix her low in the water + stability problems.
Had her out on the water to day. There was a bit of wind and that did not bother her at all. She is still a bit low so will shave a bit of her keel weight. Once I have got this spot on I will paint it black to hide it. It seam Finnjet now as a life on the water and not the shelf gathering dust. Will have to start my second revell Finnjet model the 2004 version.
