I have been given an Aerokits Fast Patrol Launch to restore.  I believe it was modelled on a real boat, if anyone knows what that boat was, that would be a great help as I would like to try to restore it as the original and if possible where I may be able to find some photos.

The design appears to me to be loosely based on an early RAF Seaplane Tender. The model on web pictures is also usually painted in what appears to be RAF colours, similar to the RAF Vosper Fire Boat also made Aerokits. The kit designer has evolved the hull and superstructure proportions and  designated it a fast patrol boat. This is a historic model and well worth your effort.

Thats great, thanks for your reply, stripping lots of horrid paint off it at the moment but it seems pretty sound

Just remember that the original paint could have a lead content.
