hello all little question about the colour of the deck of the old Smit Rotterdam,I am rebuilding one and wanted to keep it as original as possible   on the  info I've got  the deck colour is a light green  but on the boat it's yellow ,was there a reason the original builder  used yellow or was it a personal  choice

Must be personal choice as All pics on Google show a light green

I concur with Stavros on that one - and,as a guess, I would say the builder used the yellow to avoid having the hassle of masking it off. The yellow in the photo appears to be the correct colour for the Bulwarks O0

And I've just noticed, again in the photo, part of the deck is the original green. This is showing through where some fittings have been removed on the Stbd side :-))

I'll check back in the workshop tomorrow, but I'm fairly certain the deck colour was (in Humbrol) Duck-egg Blue. Well, it was on my Smit Nederland anyway.
I'll double check the Humbrol number while I'm at it.  :-))

Hi Pad. You were spot on with Humbrol 23 - couldn't find my old info but google search confirms 23 = Humbrol Matt "duck egg blue". O0

Hope yer gonna post some progress pics when you get into it :D
