Hi from the Emerald Isle
« on: September 11, 2015, 08:16:49 am »

Hi all , just joined up , I live with me wife Claire in Cobh (pronounced Cove) in Co. Cork , Ireland. Cobh was the last port of call for the ill fated Titanic and the town is steeped in maritime history.  We live in a ground floor apartment overlooking the entrance to Cork harbour and sometimes have more ships and boats go past the window in a day than cars , we also get the huge passenger liners right in close , they're a grand sight , so you can see where my interest in boats and ships comes from.  I'll post some pics when I work out how.

I've made boats before but decided on a winter project to build a Maggie M from model slipway , I ordered it a few days ago but it could take up to three weeks to get here  <:(  so if anyone who has made this model has any tips please feel free to let me know.

Anyway , looking forward to getting to know ye all.

Failte Murph, get the camera set up for those passing ships. Post some on here  Some good reading on Mayhem, I`m sure someone has a Maggie M build somewhere.

Good grief ! I didnt think they would be that close !   Wow !   You could set  up a small business selling prints to enthusiasts.  Last three didn't come through, Britannia etc.  Keep them coming please.
