rewire southampton RTR
« on: July 27, 2007, 06:38:19 pm »

Graupner's Southampton RTR tug is one of those little models that needs some alteration to make it perform well, in 2006 this is exactly what I did.

to complete the task you need the following items

1X soldering Iron
1X roll of solder
1x pair of wire cutters
1x small posidrive / phillips screwdriver
1x pair of pliers (long nose ideal, short nose will work)

4 lengths of wire, 2 different colours
2x Speed controllers (Viper 15)
2x Tamiya extention leads
1x 4ch Receiver FM 40mhz or your legal surface waveband (in the case of overseas users)
1x V-tail mixer

remove the red wire from one of the esc's (or both if you intend on using seperate battery pack)

Following the instructions from your V-tail mixer, plug esc's into Mixer and Mixer into receiver. of adding seperate battery pack, plug it in now and place infront of equipment tray in the hull

fit rudder servo lead into relevant socket on receiver
