A little bit of a job
« on: October 06, 2015, 03:37:47 pm »

Would/could some kind soul turn up a small pulley for me from ali or similar, please? I'm OK with bits that you glue or solder but I haven't touched a lathe in over 40 years.  It's only cosmetic so it doesn't have to be super-accurate. Here's a sketch. PM me to discuss payment etc if interested.

My thanks for the offers. Barry M was first to step up to the plate, so I look forward to seeing what a fine job he makes of it in return for a donation to RNLI.

Dave,
Just one question - are those dimensions on your plan in feet or metres? If the latter, I'll have to saw through my lathe bed, shift the bits apart and nail them to a plank to get enough swing on the chuck.

No problem but I have to say that all those tool marks disappear when it's viewed at the real 12.5mm diameter!
