STEAM LAUNCHES
« on: October 18, 2015, 11:52:00 am »

Found a couple of examples of steam launches which have very simple yet elegant lines.  Note the tunnel screws.  The first is 65 feet and the second is 75 feet.  Great subjects for models.

If you don;t already have a copy, the book 'Steam Launches' is a great reference...on net ..

It has many pictures of open, canopy,  cabin launches, engines, and boilers as well as some historical text.

And if you dont want to start from scratch then Kingston Mouldings ( http://www.kingstonmouldings.com/ ) have several nice fiberglass hulls for various steam powered boats. No connection, just a satisfied customer who has always had good products and good service from them. Cheers, Ian.
