modelling a clinker dinghy

i hope to make a 1/4 scale clinker dinghy but cannot find a supply of scale roves {about 1/8in dia i reckon} does anyone have any ideas please?

Copper shim and a hole punch use the "holes" then a jig and a punch to make the hole for the rivet ?

Just a suggestion I have never seen any roves that small commercially made  <:(
Some small boatbuilders use square roves so that would be quicker  :-)) 
8mm is as small as they go

thanks for all the ideas re 1/4 scale roves  i will try punching some but with about 500 to make  bit daunting
