« on: November 01, 2015, 10:01:59 am »

Happened across this old girl yesterday at Lowestoft marina  :-)  It's free to go on & I thought very interesting. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.  :-))

From my part of the world.
It is owned by the Mincarlo trust, and open regularly to the public. They also own so I believe, the last steam drifter of which I forget the name. Age has a funny effect upon the memory

Yes that's right, she's not at Lowestoft at present, she's currently berthed up at Gt Yarmouth

We have the Ross Tiger here in Grimsby,
Bought by the Council for a pound and they
now charge 6 pounds for the privilege of a guided tour.
Unless you are too old and infirm to traverse the ladders
etc then it's four. >>:-( ;)

Get over to Hull, they have the Arctic Corsair moored on the river behind the museums. Unlike Grimsby it is free to have a guided tour around it  ;) ;) ;) , but its only open at certain times.
