Hi all can anyone please let me know the full size length ,breadth of the paddle tug strongbow as I am thinking on building this model

Helps to have the plans together as gives a good idea of the size and placement of things this plan is particularly good 64 pages and I notice the whole superstructure over the mechanicals can be removed without upsetting the lay of the planking ,hope to build a small yarrow boiler for this with twin cylinder side valve with drop cog reverse for want of a better name sort of like a see saw with cogs on each end often seen on lathes so this will give independant paddles also my thanks to Derek "decoy"
for his valuable time and expertise in translating the language

just for info John, the mechanism you describe is known as a 'tumbler reverse' and as you rightly point out was often to be found on lathes. It's a very economical way to reverse a drive,
