Hence the reason for asking.  I don't want sleeping tablets as it's a short time cure.
As for exercise my job is very active plus when I get home I walk the dog for 40 mins. At work I'm more active than the 25 year old.  It's me that's pushing them and 2 are fitness freaks.

Hi Klunk, I had a bit of a stressful job and I decided to keep a diary.  I do not mean buying a yearly type diary but a lined A5 (goes in your pocket) hard cover one.
Just write everything down where you have been who you met, names, how you feel all trivia etc.  I found it very calming, I still keep a daily diary for all my holidays.  Do not worry if you miss a few days out either.
The amusing thing is people come and talk to you, most of them wishing they could keep one too.  On holidays you get asked am I in your diary?
It is a 'catharsis'  and worked for me.
P.S I hope the Secretary's job is not a problem!  I have been Secretary of St. Albans MES for nearly 22 years.

I had the same thing.  Went to the Doc and got some tablets which allegedly are not addictive.  Once you've had some decent nights you get back in the groove.  Go on.....pick up the phone.

Are you participating then?
I think the Tache will go well with the dress  ;D

My participation is more passive-involuntary than active and facially hirsute, although I shall dig deep into the dusty, dark depths of my pocket for the cause. As anyone who has ever met me will confirm, I don't need a moustache or a dress to look silly.  O0

Well, my lad been working nights since he was 26, he had the same as you recently,he used a few of the tips from this lot, now, he sleeps soundly from 7 in the morning, until 3.30,  you have probably seen this, but it works, dont go to the UK, or USA site, just read what is there,   Sleep depravation is a serious thing, dont get it sorted, and you may well do yourself immense harm

Just read that article. Nothing in there I have not been doing for that last 20 years. Went to the docs this morning as I had a diabetes test done recently and night wirk in pacts directly.  Discussed it with him and got the normal fob off. He only recommended sleeping tablets from over the counter......but if it carried on for another week to go back.

Hi Klunk instead of counting sheep count your boats, if you count them all you will either be asleep or it will be time to go back to work?

Well, the article helped my lad, but he is probably much younger, he went for snatched sleep, to a solid 8 hours, every day, you sound stressed, find a way to de-tress, and your welcome
