Fastfaz made a good point, I'll just elaborate a little.

Before roughing up the outside with sandpaper for paint, make sure you degrease it well first with a good degreaser. You can't see it but there will be mold release still adhering to the hull. If you go at it with sandpaper all that achieves is to rub the release agent into the surface of the grp. So your paint will still orange peel in places.

So degrease well first, then sand then paint.

A good squeeze of washing up liquid in your wet and dry water always helps and stops the paper clogging.

Greetings all from Downunder!

Can someone please give me some hints on setting up the running gear - there are so many variables!
It seems one way is to fix the korts and then do the rest.
I am very new to this.

thanks in anticipation.

Yo down there,
If you send me a PM with your email address I'll send you some photos and instructions of the layout and method I used in the Portgarth I am half way through building. She is fitted with my own Bowthruster and 70mm Kort nozzles with 4 blade brass props, the motors are MMM T12's which will run from a 12volt sla battery. Hope this helps.
      Cheers,
           Faz. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))
