solder repair

Has anyone ever done a soft solder repair to a wilesco steam block ,one of the threaded steam connections has come away, any information  on how to go about this would be great, regards  pete

The block is brass but nickel plated which may not allow soft soldering any help with this would be appreciated  regards Pete

Bonjour,
If you could remove ALL the glass parts of the boiler, I would suggest you to use sodium silicate :

If the boiler is completely filled with the mixture, you do not need much pressure to have the repair.

I have repaired a willesco d48 valve block using the 5% silver bearing solder. Cleaned it up well to remove oil, removed the plateing from the pipe and block using emery cloth and a drills  bit.
