single brushless motor recommendation for 49" perkasa ?

Hi
I have  a 49" glass hulled perkasa that I would like to fit out with a single brushless motor.


Can anyone recommend a motor that would suit ? and a suitable esc, shaft and prop.

I'm going to use a brushed setup as recommended by anglia like how they set theirs up.

believe it or not an mfa torpedo 850 and run on sla batteries

I used a NTM Rotor Drive 600 Series motor 1220KV a 120A wateer cooled speed controller with reverse and a 5000mAh 4S1P 30C lipo battery I get a nice turn of speed and everything runs nice a cool.

I have only just seen your post.
I have that 49 inch Perkasa and use a single brushless motor. Its an Emax GT4020 620KVA.

I know you have sorted it now but the link below shows my boat running on a 4 cell Lipo battery. I normally use a 5 cell and it will go a bit quicker than you see here.
