Bad weather in the North Sea over the weekend.
« on: November 16, 2015, 07:16:18 pm »

Working north of the Shetlands, the Subsea 7 ran into some rough weather on fri/sat. Look at the helideck, not only the safety netting has been ripped away, you can see daylight through the structure where the actual landing deck has been ripped off as well.

Now tied up for repairs in Scotland.

Scheesh !!   Some storm that must have been.  There's worse to follow, according to the news tonight.

Dear me! My old man is some distance North East of the Shetlands on the Dunlin Alpha, I imagine his platform will be getting a fair bashing from the big goffers out there.
