Do you know - its been so cold around here lately ....

I found ice cubes in our bed, when they thawed out there was a raspberry sound and a funny whiff!

It's weird but here at Akrotiri it's got cold enough to turn the air con units up from 23 deg C to 25 because we've started to shiver at night!
Strange thing is the Sergeants are still complaining that it's too hot!

No seriously can't believe how cold it is at night on Cyprus.

Heat/cold is relative. When I was at Akrotiri I remember sitting around an open fire one Sunday morning in November, wearing a pullover. My successor who had just arrived, came in dressed for swimming as it was 75 F!

Your blood had thinned and his was still jam like from having come from Blighty:O) Thats why I hate a changable winter, you blood has to keep thinning and thickening up all the time. Right, off to have some pre christmas Christmas pud for my tea:O)

A few years ago my son was serving with the RAF in Oman and flew back to the UK. When he left Oman it was +30 degrees (winter temperature there) and -15 degrees at Brize Norton, that's a 45 degree shift. He had to dig his snowed-in car out whilst still wearing tropical uniform!
