Using a V-mixer for two motors/esc together with rudder.
« on: November 21, 2015, 06:03:15 pm »

Hello from Holland,

I have a question about using a V-mixer. On this forum I found this wiring-diagram

I bougth a V-mixer and a Y-cable but now I have a problem.

(Option A) I think I have to put the connectors of the ESC(2) on the pins (s+-) and the connectors of the V-mixer to the reciever and the Y-cable. In this way I dont have to cut of connectors or replace them for other connectors.

(OptionB) In the Diagram the V-mixer seems to be 'backwards' Is the right?

Do I have to connect it like the diagram? (OptionB) Or do I have to connect it like in Option A?

Hope anyone can help me before I go cutting wires.

(extra information)
This is the manual from the V-mixer

Like Option A
The trailing wire connector on top, solder joints are hidden by the label, is the throttle.
The trailing wire connector soldered to the side of the 14 pin processor connects to the Y-cable.

You perhaps know this bit!
Don't cut any wire. Use a scalpel or pin to remove the centre contact (crimped on the red wire) of one speed controller's flat cable.
Insulate it with heat shrink or pvc tape

Thanks DM......worked a treat :-)).....I am using surplus RC cables to power low voltage motors [125 mA loaded]....& didn't need the ORANGE connection wire.........

[A little off thread Kees.....but just wanted confirm the good disconnection idea method]................ Derek
