I believe all of CWG plans went to the museum in Hull when the yard closed down so that might be a place to start

OK Dave,

Do you happen to have an email that would take me straight into the right area?

CWG was taken over by Whitby shipbuilding in 1976 but the Belle still sails from Bridlington & has its own website could be a good place to start  Bill...

Hi Mike,

I have seen those plans on that website but they don't really give you much ideal what they consist of.  How good is the plan and what details does it give?  I do have a several of their plans but they are a pretty mixed bunch and not very consistent.  Maybe its worth getting them but I must admit I prefer builders drawings if they are available.  Some time back I bought the LOCHIEL plan from them and was very disappointed.  It was totally inaccurate and not at all like the actual hull shape.  I worked from the builders drawing from the NMM and produced an accurate set of lines and other drawings.  Cost more of course, but well worth it.  Depends what is available I guess.

The plans consist of three sheets, drawn by David Markham and David Metcalf, at 1/24th scale.

Sheet 1 is full profile view.
Sheet 2 is plan views of decks.
Sheet 3 isa lines drawing showing sections, buttock lines and waterlines.
Add photos of the full size boat and it should make life easy.

Model and plan was featured in the October 2008 copy of Model Boats.

From what you have given its probably worth having just incase the builders drawings are not available.  David Markham is the guy from the Bridlington model boat club that Bill mentioned earlier in the thread.  I have been in touch with the club and hope to contact David directly soon.   I have also posted a letter to the archive of the Hull Maritime Museum in the hope of tracking down any original builders drawings that may exist.  JT
