water cooling Jacket
« on: November 30, 2015, 06:52:21 pm »

Several months age I back-ordered from Hobby King a w/c jacket for a Turnigy B2835-3900 brushless motor. I ordered their jacket for a 2835/2845 motor, "28-30mm". It arrived today (hooray!). It doesn't fit (Boo!) The motor OD is from 28.13 to 28.28mm - the jacket ID is from 27.75 to 28.06mm. Have I ordered the wrong jacket, or have HK cocked up, and if so what are my chances of their uncocking things? Grateful for advice.
Toby.

I had this with one of mine (36 size motor though). Now I was able to show hobby king this was a manufacturing issue and they sent me replacements (which worked perfectly). However it should be noted that I was able to carefully Dremmel the o rings to fit. However you need to be really careful doing this.

The HK returns process seems pretty slick so far . I have printed off the return label and off to the PO later. Will report on how it goes - I often think that the test of any organisation is not that it never makes a mistake, but how quickly it puts things right on the rare occasions when it does.
