But it should buff out with a bit of polish and elbow grease %)

I never read about this on any of the local media, but they have just appeared on my Facebook page and reportedly happened yesterday in the Humber estuary? Now tied up at Immingham so Netleyned might be able to dig up some more info.

The delivery of Gaffer tape to the Forth Bridge has now been diverted to Ming Ming (Immingham)  {-) {-)

Seriously the powers that be aint sying much apart from the collision was off Clee Ness, or
the Approaches to the Humber, or Off Immingham depending on which report you read.

The Car carriers using the Humber tend to dodge about in the river if they arrive within an hour
or so of their berthing time.

Gale force winds,a strong tidal flow and darkness possibly contributed.

Oops, does the large pack of filler come with a large enough applicator?

Is that an easy repair to conduct? Obviously it isn't a gaffer tape and filler job in reality :embarrassed: But is it as easy as cutting the denty bits out and rewleding in bits of scantling and new plates?

It looks like the hull is made from ferro-concrete looking at the gash.

Best idea might be just to tidy the edges of the hole up,
put some glazing in, and promote it as a viewing deck . . .

They need to get the gash shuttered up and get the cement mixer going.  :}
