The Canada Geese are a pain in the butt here in Canada as well. Some parks are so bad that people don't go there. It does make good, natural garden fertilizer however.

They can be very aggressive and I have seen them keep people from getting their boat out of the water.

Cheers

Tom

ok2 Yep, these illegal immigrants are some that we can really do without! Strange, but I toured all round Ontario 2 years back and never saw one - maybe they were on vacation at my lovely lake!  :D

Our old wooden jetty was lethal with slippery Goose poop. A guest at the Inn had great trouble with her wee doggy eating as uch as it could while she was talking to us last week!

How many Geese have you got on your lake?

I haven't counted them, but we have Brents as well as Canada and Greylag, maybe sometimes as much as 30 or more at a time. If only people would stop bringing bread for wildfowl which is bad for them anyway, we might not have such a problem.

I'm glad the law has changed somewhat in benefit of users. We might be able to use this to deal with our rabble. We have a pair nesting at the moment.

You lucky man U2!  I had to 'bite the bullet' and pass on my Atlantis to another good home last month as I had to admit that she was just too big for my home. Now making waves on a lake on a Surrey golf course! I miss it to bits!! Bob.
   :((
 However, I now have this.......

The stern is attractive, well the whole model is. It looks much more handy as a model than the tall mast yachts.

I agree there Ian, but big yachts are my weakness. :embarrassed:  The Atlantis only fault is it is a heavyweight. O0

Sorry to hear that your Alan, er ATLANtis had to move on I imagine someone is out there now standing by the lake with an enormous grin and either large biceps or a bad back :D . I'll be sailing mine later........ Big grin appears on U2s face......

U2: I don't miss lugging my Atlantis around any more but I do regret not seeing her graceful passage along our lake.
My Grand Banks Fishing Schooner conversion is 92cm long and 115cm tall. She weighs a mere 4.5kg incl. (mainly external) ballast so is a doddle to carry around - in one hand! :-))
I think she is an attractive model and is improving her sailing qualities with each 'tweaking'. The mainsail is the second one I have made as the first was not large or effective enough.
Bob..

PS: Did you make your sails?
