A paintjob too far?

God knows what the company was thinking, at least you have no trouble spotting it.

Might not be quite so daft. Back in the 90's I was involved in company trials to establish the most visible colour for lifejackets and other LSA; this involved the use of a helicopter at varying heights to spot different coloured targets. The conclusion was that an acid green was superior to high-vis orange against a sea background. A similar thinking may be in action here.

Back in the mid 70's...our Australian National Line leased a 60 something thousand tonner call the Tambo River for the Headland to Kembla iron ore run

She ran under Det Norske Veritas classification and appeared to be quite advanced for her time with fully functional UMER [unmanned engine room control]

She also had an RED/ORANGE hull and a GREEN aft accommodation block..............or near exactly to colours shown below......Derek

I think that you will also find that the "vibrant" slider has been moved a fair way up the scale.

In the early 90s the German shipping line CONTI Reederei had a bizarre notion for gaudy liveries of some of the ships of their container fleet.

Wonder how the crew, serving on the once pink CONTSHIP GERMANY, felt when they called at various ports of countries with a more archaic grasp of wardrobe styles.

Now that would make for a talking point around the sailing water for sure!
