Just a few pictures from this morning. Managed to get  some pictures besides taking part in a endurance event.  The St Canute is a very old model  and the tug is not very big see picture with trannie. A new model seen this morning is the SS Earnslaw  plan from model boats.

Two Ranger Footys at Wilton Park K.M.B.C.

It was quite blustery and the bigger Yachts had given up. However, the "Rangers" fought on bravely.

GBR473 could have done with a smaller rig. Stuarts Yellow "Ranger" and storm rig was behaving better.

Cheers,

Nick

The star today was this cobble and the detail is amazing including moving crew and seagull pinching chips.
More tomorrow

A few brave souls at the lakeside last Sunday. The weather was ok but  you still needed your thermals. Just a few pictures from Sunday enjoy.

hi Stan can you tell me, the gentleman/lady who owns the 73 ft Air sea rescue launch 2564, did they purchase this - I myself built  a launch extremely similar to this even to the extended exhaust out of the side of the model.   If there are any internal shots of the model I would be grateful as I have often wondered where the model I built and sold ended up - is it on a scrapheap or is it still alive :-) it may be that someone else built it the same way as I did - cos I copied one that was built that was double diagonally planked in styrene and in fact it was built completely from styrene.

Club island endurance 1hr test tomorrow at Wilton Park for scale and semi scale models. I'm thinking a 33lb tug wont be winning a speed test  {-)  but I might be adding some stern weight  O0

The 33lb Portgarth came 3rd  {-)  not bad for something as streamlined as a brick and pushing a wall of water.
1st place went to a teeny weeny lifeboat about 3lb wet through  %%

I ran at constant scale speed for 1 hr on 2x12volt 5ah SLA, she was slowing at the end.

My old fishing boat now leaks like a sieve after this morning. Still not bad for a model that has never been a problem for 29 years. But a major refit is needed will be in dry dock for quite a while.
