Fantastic work Brian which I can only envy  :embarrassed:   You must have quite a fleet at home now - I bet they would look great all on the water at the same time!

Next set of photo's
1..Bollard post being installed.
2...I was only a few days off finishing the models but run out of time as we left the following day to head south to spend Christmas with Family so tucked my babies away in the spare room.
3...Back into the final stages of installing the gear on her.
4...Giving the 2 models their float test and to see how much ballast required.....

With these set of photos she had the ballast installed , the "Delta"s weight (less ballast) 6 kg or 13.2 Lbs needed 4.1 kg  or 9Lbs of ballast, and yes that was her original fishing lic numbers on the side.

That's a good looking shed you have there Brian, a fitting place to build those good looking trawlers of yours. I notice it's complete with test tank - how good is that? I haven't seen the beer fridge yet though {-)  I imagine the shed would get quite hot in those Cairns summers, I know my shed does, and I'm almost 2000 km south of you.

It was good to catch up with you while you were down our way O0

Keep building :-))

We are really blessed to have seen the sheer amount of skill in cabinet making and timber types that went into these floating treasures Brian. I am sure people will see them and could not comprehend this just by looking at the paintwork (itself very well executed and finished).

Hi there, sorry for doubling up on the last set of photos ( old age setting in) I could have sworn i had already put them up , I didn't go to the next page , and thank you for your comments glad you are liking the photos.....
The last set of photos are when we tested them out at the local watering hole up here at Ross & Locke ( I lost my skipper to drive the boats while filming Bob 'Old Shrimper' he has gone caravaning down south :( ) so another top prawner up here Gordon Massey  and his Brother Kevin (the shipwright in their family) drove the boats around while I got some footage of them , so we had a good morning ,nice and quiet no crowds,,,

Beautiful BB! They compliment the lovely lake greatly with their clean lines and smart paintwork. I like the framework.

They do look great on the water Brian, and the low angle of the shots make them even more realistic. Is that water on the Mulgrave River near the Gillies Highway?

Hi guys , thanks for the comments, Hi Peter, yes if you turn off at Gordonvale to head up the Gillies Highway its about 8 km on the left , would be perfect if it was sandy bottom for trawling  :).
