Twin motor control
« on: December 30, 2015, 05:41:19 pm »

Tucked away in my garage, I have a 28" Syma EP No.7000 speed boat, with twin 380 brushed motors. (Contra-rotating). Throttle is full on or off and steering is by means of either motor shutting down to change direction. (No rudder) Forwards only. What do I need to convert to full proportional control? I use a Planet T5 tx for my other boats. This is basically a toy, but I would prefer full control to what it has now. I would guess either one esc with two outlets, or two esc's. No doubt this will come at a cost, but the boat is gathering dust instead of being used.

Yes. One of those. Toy, but still enjoyable.
