My seawolf project is on hold at the moment so if it helps I can send you my WTC so you can better see how the bayonet works

I may take you up on that offer !  This is on my 'want to do list', rather than 'must do straight away' list.  :-)

If I don't get any joy from the suppliers that I have emailed, then I will start looking at getting one made up.  Ideally I will find somebody at the local club in my area (North West) with a sub that I can look at , but if not that may be of real help.  In the meantime that original O ring would be ideal so at least I can sail it as its all up and running

Thanks for all the help so far !

Have you got a lathe, or know someone with one? If so you could machine a radial end cap up. I wouldn't copy the German design, as it's quite a lot of work,, you could just have a machined ring with a radial seal, but use the original threaded retainer to keep the two halves of the boat together.

As it happens Norbert Bruggen has just emailed back and will make one for me.   :-))

I would still like the o ring sent over please as its likely to take a while before he gets this made, and possibly longer before I get round to installing it.....
