Higgins landing craft .
« on: January 16, 2016, 09:30:45 pm »

Hi I am hoping to build a D day landing craft.
I hope someone could help with plans as the ones I have aren't as Higgins made for D day landings.
Thank you for reading.

Is this the type you're looking for? Lots of photos and drawings, and even the French MoD produced a 3D plan as part of their history of D Day.
Or Airfix make a re-tooled model at 1:72 that you could scale up. (Hannants £8.99)

Good Luck

There has just been a repeat series on BBC I Player,The Boats that Built Britain with Tom Cunliffe, one of those episodes was on the Higgins Landing Craft of D-Day,and one is preserved on the Trent nr Nottingham. You may have seen the programme, apologies if you have and not sure if the series is still available.Good luck with your build.Lakeside Bob.
