Loads of different angles of the fishing vessel Prosperity, built by Dunstons of Hull in 1966some of the pictures show her newr guise and were found on the A.Nobles of Girvan on facebook, loads of details of a working fishing vessel, internal and outer, and I think this vessel would make an interesting model.
Loads of great pictures here and a lot of lifeboat ones as Nobles overhaul them and hopefully of some use to modellers   https://www.facebook.com/ANobles-and-sons-boat-specialists-724033300999419/

 >>:-(..to say that 6 cylinder Volvo marine diesel engine & associated equipment has been maintained like a dogs breakfast would be an insult to the dog

With so much oil & grease on the front end belts, it's a wonder she could transmit any power <*< at ....Derek

Believe me Derek, that old scabby volvo inside was as good as new, might have a bit of oil and lack of paint outside, which was remedied just after photos were taken, it had a complete overhaul inside 9 months previous and was worked hard in that time just before slipping for annual paint up, then engine was thirty years old , had oil and filters done every twenty days, but we blew an oil pipe just the day before to the turbo which sprayed the engine and engine room, and had just gone down to boat to take it off to be brazed again, apart from obvious age that engine never gave us a days problem and was overhauled every 8 or so years, for hydraulics it had a direct drive PTO pump, so belts were for electrics only a day later and all oil was cleaned off and repaired pipe fitted and a week later the whole engine room was repainted ic the engine, unfortunately the day I took the photos was the last day I fished as my back finally gave up the ghost, eating pain killers like sweeties for months trying to get a regular crewman to take my place but youth of today up here werent reliable or had any experience and boat was sold a month or two later as owner/skipper retired
The vessel was then re engined with a smaller engine and this engine is currently in a vessel ten ft bigger in  a direct in and out at Nobles after engineers couldnt find anything wrong with it and the other vessel was back fishing a week later after getting work done to other parts of a vessel, dont let looks fool you as the engine was in good shape

wbeedie........my comment was blunt....20 litre plastic drums in another shot were covered in grime...I could only make an observation from the images shown

Another  :o was the image of the Fairy/Arlon high pressure hydraulic in line filter housing....which appeared to be in the return line %)  to the reservoir

My only memory/knowledge of such engines Volvo 6PM?? series normally aspirated engines was some 40 years ago in emergency generator set installations & as such were kept in a pristine state to comply with LLoyds or DNV...& yes you guessed it.....they were painted white

Looks can kill >:-o....but hey!..... this is a marine based WEB site  ...so we accept all........I would never doubt the longevity & ability of those series engines to fire up :-)) .... Derek

Aye the dirty drums were usually kept in a converted toilet in the engine room for taking old oil ashore to be disposed of, the fresh drums were given to a local fisher of whelks to make whelk pots from , but as you said these engines were good, this one produced 320 hp which was plenty enough for us even when scallop dredging in strong tides we would keep on trucking, what you seen in the fore of the engine was oil and belt dust mixed, not the easiest of things to keep clean especially when new v belts wear down to fit in the pullies better over the first couple of days , then need re tightened, the hydros were a dream to work on, basically taking off the top of the PTO and changing a cartridge, but would lift as much as winch was capable, this one was 10 tone core pull rated so by the time you got to outer wires, it was only something like 2.4 tonne, which meant hauling a side of gear at a time if full of stones, but thats life lol, its one boat I had returned to twice, and apart from a hole in one of the liners which we decided to do a complete overhaul just to keep the inside in good order, but when working 20 hours a day on deck, looks take fourth place between working eating grabbing a nap when you can and then cleaning , and after ten days the skipper would not allow us back to boat for four days so we got proper rest and let bodies relax, it was different when trawling for nephrops as we had time in between hauls to get rags out and things as tows lasted four hours but scalloping, it was anything between 20 minutes and an hour and a half
