It's been a terrible last three months for famous losses. Little bits of childhood disappearing with every death.

I think it's due to the first tranche of Music and TV Personalities
that brought the late 50's/early 60's to life.
They came into our homes like never before, and being in their
Twenties and Thirties, then, are now 70/80, so are in
the twilight of their lives.
I hope they will never be forgotten, but in 20 years time,
Who will remember them?

In 20 years (if I'm still here), will I be able to remember who I am?   %%

Is this the year to start the Model Boat Mayhem "Dead Pool"? We had one when I worked for HMC&E (a black-hearted bunch at the best of times) but it eventually turned into a wish list!
What bothers me more than the current crop of elderly twig jumpers is the number of people whose deaths I can remember all too vividly - and how long ago they died!! Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Elvis, Brian Jones, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Sandy Denny - look 'em up and weep for your long lost youth.

very sad to hear that. R.I.P. Ronnie

maybe the two Ronnie's are now giving a special recital together of four candles in that great church in the sky. A fitting place to do so.

Yes another icon gone, The Two Ronnie's are together again, their shows were and still are great entertainment, and yes I've seen Four Candles many times and it always cracks me up, RIP Ronnie, and it's good night from him.

Another comedy icon gone. I was only watching an homage to the 'good night from me and....' a few minutes ago. It was in a scene from Not Gong Out Season 4 (dvd).

He was a very funny man in his own right, and the seeming shadow formed by Barker's comedy genius as was Eric Morcambes, with Ernie wise, it was merely shading an equally bright wit. You only have to look at Corbett's delivery of his monologues, and his ripostes in the many funny plays on words and the music hall pieces they did together.

A very clever and very funny Lady.

Hopefully we'll get a few repeats, subject to the PC Brigade finding something acceptable.
