Nice piece of formatting ..... %)    What machine are you using to send your posts please. ?

Can you see this when you  'Preview' your post   ?

We usually  'skim of the surplus'  formatting, but this is excessive.    %)

The main use of gel cells (to try to get on topic) has been as the standby for alarm systems, and they do a good job.  I have used a few different brands in models and, with proper care and used within their designed limits, I haven't had any problems with any of them.
However, for most of mine I tend to use NiMH batteries for both better performance for weight and the better flexibility of the possible sizes and shapes of the packs.

Not quite what I was asking .... I would like to know about the manufacturing quality of each of the named batteries. Cheap battery .... Poor quality?
I have bought a cheaper brand recently but it does deliver power for as long as its 10 year old original.

we use SLA in panels. Yes Yuasa are the best .
You need to look at what they are being used for . In my line of work a battery fault will operate a fault relay which will stop a production line . Thats why they are replaced every 3 years with top batterys.
In a model boat all that will happen is you dont get as a long run time . Is it worth the extra in model boating ,not really .

Formatting errors are very common now.
There are issues with back and forward compatibility, and cross compatibility with/between WinX, Android, and iOS systems, and even with certain browsers.
This is nobody's fault but the developers.

We may ask what software people are using, and if they are having any other issues, as we are trying to get to the bottom of things for the benefit of all concerned. However, in this case we do not have a fix at the moment.

I find Yuasa are the best, however other makes can give equally good performance & reliability for model boats. More important you should check data sheet for charging current etc. As wrong charging will destroy any battery including Yuasa. A few years ago I purchased an intelligent charger which considerably increases performance. also remember there are at least 3 types of Yuasa battery for different applications.

In my experience, all the gel cell batteries I have bought give good service, even the cheap brands, some of which are over 10 years old. I now just buy whatever is available regardless of brand. I always charge my SLA batteries immediately on returning from a sailing session, and store them upright and fully charged.
