Titebond 111
« on: September 15, 2015, 04:36:20 pm »

Hi,
I use Titebond 111 glue on my models, super bond after overnight dry and I am very happy with it except for the horrible brown colour it dries to.  I have got to the stage where I would like my models to look as good inside as out.  So if anyone knows of a glue that dries without leaving a big stain, bonds in a reasonable time and is easy to use  ( not like epoxy that goes off before you have finished)  please point me in that direction.  CA is great for initial bond but is not beefy enough to hold a big boat together for long.

Regards and thanks Glyn

I use this stuff for all wood-wood joints. It's very popular with many boat modellers, I gather  https://www.deluxematerials.co.uk/en/rc-modelling/65-aliphatic-resin-500g-5060243900081.html

Thanks for that dave, I will order some and see how I get on with it.  I am looking for the next build at present and thought it would be nice to keep the innards tidy.

Regards Glyn
