Wiring a Turnigy motor
« on: February 04, 2016, 05:49:10 am »

Although probably quite common this is the first motor that I have come across with three wires emerging out of it, with no identification. It is a Turnigy XK4050-2260KV, so any help will be appreciated.

:-)) It is a brushless motor and you will need a brushless ESC to go with it,the three wires on the motor will connect with the three wires on the ESC, if the motor runs backwards just change over two of the wires.......Ray.

There is no correct order - just guess - and as Ray says if it goes the wrong way swop any two wires

Unless it is a sensored Brushless Motor (Mostly used the 540 sized brushless motors in RC cars) These can be identified by having a 6 pin socket on the rear of the motor housing

These need to be wired correctly or they will release the blue smoke
