Wow, that is fab Eddie. Nice seeing a bit of Sci fi on here as a pleasant holiday from ships and all things nautical:O)

I often wonder about weathering space craft, but there is a lot of stuff whizzing about the cosmos. I think this will be the biggest stumbling block to light speed travel as the particles whizzing about will erode a space ship very quickly:O)

The only 'weathering' on spacecraft will be 'OLES'   
Until some sort of shield / deflector system is developed . . . we 'aint going anywhere soon ,  you have to admire the imagination of some of the Sci-Fi writers , I think Kubrick started it in the 2001 film when 'Dave' shot himself back into the main ship without a helmet on . . . COME ON   
AND while we're at it why have the latest batch of Startrek films got WATER swilling all over the place aboard ship ? ?
