Aircraft on sticks? If it's not aircraft on sticks, I am fine with aircraft on sticks and will shut up :-)

Went up on Sunday. Great show as usual, with a very high standard of club stands, plus interesting product from the traders. I seem to be fixated on older designs at the moment, as indicated by my photos..

Mountfleets new model, he is working on the development of it now. Kerne Tug. A larger model of the same vessel was on display elsewhere. Both very pleasing to the eye.

Another project spared me being the Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved Me. My first Bond film at the Odeon, North End, but I digress. SLOW THE TURNTABLE DOWN PLEASE!! Then I can get your fine model in focus :-)

Got it in the end, after much camera adjusting..

Micks wonderful Queen Mary. From a different angle, she almost looks real. Individual plates over a double diagonal hull. My knees have since recovered!

Kings Lear Club stand, like the hanging models, good idea. I also noticed how the plan wall was closer to the viewing public than the other side of the stand. Excellent job there :-))

Aircraft on sticks, mmm? Not sure about them on a moving model, rather like figures frozen in time, while the model is moving around them...but, thanks to the wonders of Photoshop..."Launch Alert Fighters!"

Alfold 2016 or the Persian Gulf early 90s, you decide :-)

Not the being on sticks per se. However some of those on sticks have just taken off, but the situation behind them is simply not possible (on Kittyhawk at least, the other might be possible but would involve nerves of steel, extreme skill and probably a court martial).

I saw you launch it at Alfold and grabbed my camera to get a series of photos. It works even better if you crop it to cover just the mid to forward flight deck, heat haze off of the afterburners! Actually, it is so big the bow was out of focus!
