Monster Biber Mini Sub 1:6 Scale
« on: February 16, 2016, 12:35:03 am »

Well after about 3 months of fiddling about, messing with files I have come up with my 3D model
I can't take all the credit for it as a I started with a base model I found on t'interweb and then with the help of reference photos and "Salavage squad" I have come up with this :)

Now I'm happy with the overall design, I'm going to slice it up and 3D print sections

First print will be 1:12 scale and will be used for testing purposes and learning the dark art of mould making (already have one order for a hull lol)

Well if you've got one order already that should instill a feeling of supreme confidence in your own abilities :-)) On the other hand, maybe one of what have I let myself in for :o

Do you plan to cut female molds with CNC mill from a plastic blank or cast a mold from a plug? At 1:6 scale I'll almost be able get in {-) so good luck with this project

I:6 scale should be approximately 1.5m long

Plans are to section the hull and 3d print each part and then join them together.

this will then be smoothed with filler and used to make moulds.
Will it work? No Idea!

Backup plan is to have the plug CNC machined from HD foam (Have a man on standby)
