Women - Why does sensibility
« on: February 20, 2016, 10:36:10 am »

go out the window when shopping %%

Here we are packing to go back to Spain. We brought  no baggage with us but booked two cases for the return for any vital stuff we wanted to take back.

This morning I have packed two cases 20kilo's in each. I am still looking at a pile of carrier bags that I've weighed and come to 14 kilos >:-o After some heated words I take out 4 kilos of model supplies (essentials) and put them in my carry on luggage to placate her. So she has 4 kilo's to use.

Then she comes back and says "But I've also got 7 kilo's of butter/cheese/bacon in the fridge as well" >>:-( Why do it? Just why do they lose all reason? Blinking butter cheese and bacon, we can buy it in Spain for God's sake! Now I'm going to be a packhorse dragging hand luggage as well as hold luggage, and she wonders why I find it hard not to be outspoken about her profligacy. :embarrassed:

Of course, its all my fault, it always is. %)

Can't understand why you are finding it hard to understand womans reasoning, my wife says I am wrong and she is right.......................simples...........................even if she is wrong and I am right..................not worth worrying about..................lol

In such circumstances the only possible answer is always "Yes dear".

But guys you are forgetting and this is the conundrum or catch 22 if you will.

In this instance you know they are overweight so you mention it and you are damned for doing so. You know they are overweight but don't say anything. Then at the airport when they stop you for the bags being overweight, you get it in the neck for not saying something earlier!

I always look at the which is the easiest/cheapest get out clause first, then put my head on the chopping block.

There is another, if very painful, option.  Leave your 4 kilos of modelling essentials behind, then she can add her 7 kilos of extra food and still be one kilo under.  To a woman the words "modelling" and "essentials" cannot exist in the same sentence.

Any man who mentions his wife is overweight deserves all he gets  <:(

My wife and daughter once went way over the baggage allowance in Portugal. They were most upset when I refused to pay about £70 in excess charges. Now she uses my fishing scales  O0 Lesson learnt.

My wife asked me "if her bum looked big in this"? I said it wasn't a fair question cos we were in a very small room. She accused me of inferring she had a bum like a hippopotamus. I said it's not me you've got to convince. It's the two birds picking ticks off your back. T was worth it, she didn't speak to me for a month.

Refer to the joke about the Irish guy finding a bottle on the shore kicks it a Genie appears and grants him 1 wish. (its on here somewhere)
Moral is you will always come second but 20/20 hindsight prior to commitment/marriage "I don't want you to change!"
Question are women a necessary evil?

Women are trained by their mothers to make their husbands/partners lives just bearable, <*< it is a lifelong job and can only be achieved by us fellows toeing the line and behaving ourselves????, one millimeter off line and we are made to know it. ;D

People on here don't seem to like women very much judging by their comments. Seems a shame really.

Brian,

Why don't you send her on ahead on the plane with all her stuff and you drive out, at a leisurely pace, with as much gear as you need? Just think, your casa will be fully opened up and your G & T and dinner will be waiting for you when you eventually arrive.

A lot these other chaps on here need to get their household's in order me thinks and stop being such wimps!.

Hello. A lot of the replies to the topic are well known one liners, I have been married to my wife for 35 years and still think the world of her, we have an adult respect for each other and hope to continue this for many years to come, I don't think any disrespect for women was intended within the topic, so I would politely ask Mr Bishop to lighten up, if we can't laugh at ourselves the world will be a much sadder place.
