Newbie - G'day from Australia - land with the big sky!
« on: February 22, 2016, 11:48:55 pm »

Hello everyone,

In my retirement I have taken the leap from a couple of more basic kits to the world of serious tugs! - Portgarth.
This is proving a real challenge and am moving forward very slowly with some trepidation - and excitement, because after all it is fun.
I have realised my technical skills are somewhat lacking, but will no doubt get it done.  :}
The MMM site looks great with so many contributors - thank goodness you are here!  :-))

A couple of pics of models to date -

Hi Jeff,

  looks like a very nice example of a Starlet.   That was my first boat, ooh so many years ago. Still got it tucked away in the garage with many others,  probably a good candidate for a spruce up and a bit of summer sailing

Hi Jeff,

I was looking for something on the Web and came across a firm that laser cuts model boat frames.

The only yacht they had was the Starlet.

An email was sent to find out more.

They are great little yachts. Nothing better than sailing a model yacht, sitting in a deckchair and a few coldies to hand.

Regards

Hi Rickles,

The yacht model is an Aeronaut Bellissima. It goes well and is a joy to sail.

Cheers
