Hello folks,

Balne Moor MBC will hold it's first event of the season on Sunday 13th March. 

This will be an informal sailing session and any boat is welcome.  There will be no entry fee.


As usual activities will start at about 10.30 a.m.

Refreshments in the form of sandwiches will be available until about 13.00.  Tea and coffee available all day as well as cakes.

For your sat nav DN14 0ER. We are just a few miles from Junction 34 of the M62.

Why not come along and have a go, as always there will always be boats to borrow if yours is not ready.

            Myself and two other guys from SMBC will be coming over and I have to say we are all really looking forward to our planned visits this year. Maybe we will get better this year (Oh how we laughed!). See you on the day say hello to Tess.

I've been through to the pond today and our Chairman, Eric, has worked his wonders with two new courses for tug towing and scale sailing which look very interesting.

   Hello everyone at Balne Moor, thanks again for another terrific days sailing, blessed again with lovely weather and a good turn out. Three of our club members came over today and really enjoyed the sail (even though Myself and Steve towed the barge the wrong way round i.e. it goes much better with the bow going forwards). My Eldergarth sailed great not sure about the Skipper but everything comes to he who waits. Thanks once again to the girls in the kitchen and a big thanks to John,Eric and members for setting up the pond and the great hospitality. Can't wait for next month.

    The last of the photos is a winter build for one of the guy's at balne moor. this is a old type jet drive that he has had in is loft for
    years, he told me it originally was made for IC engines, it was that fast I only caught bits of photos, it's run on a brushless motor.
