Control your sub by smart phone, bluetooth and an Arduino!?
« on: March 18, 2016, 05:13:17 pm »

Well almost!

I have been trying out a Bluetooth module wired up to an Arduino Nano and it works rather well using the app on the phone (I used a Samsung Galaxy 5)

It is a really a poor man's version of Tim tablet's TX for openLRS but, rather nicely, he commented part way through to point out the difficulty with bright sunlight. (Not too much of this in Cumbria in the UK , Tim! But you are right.)

It has some real use in home control but it could maybe  be used to add some ancillary controls to surface models. A good easy project (Costing under a tenner with the Nano) for those of us trying out Arduino projects, though, with perhaps some pointers for future transmitters.
