Model Boat lake at New brighton is reopened
« on: March 16, 2016, 08:28:24 PM »

I'm sure that there was something earlier regarding this event but can't find it.

Anyway, the lake at new Brighton was re-opened by the Mayor of Wirral this afternoon after being cleaned out with the assistance of United Utilities, Wirral council and various other local organisation's.

I had forgotten all about it until reminded so I only had me second string camera to hand.

Nice to see the council doing something positive for a change, round here we can't even get them to fill in the potholes, let alone doing something for us model boaters.  :-)

It was a joint effort by the Environment Agency, United Utilities Community trust and Wirral Council, at no cost to the public purse.
