I see that F1 is starting again this Saturday on Channel four.

Thank goodness that RedBull Soap box Derby racing starts the week after.

Far more exciting and far more entertaining, and infinitely more entertaining.

With BBC dropping F1 coverage and Channel 4 only doing partial highlights (so far) It will be hard to follow this year.  I am certainly not paying an extra £25.50 per month to SKY just to watch motor racing.

Channel four are doing full coverage of some races and highlights of the rest.

Have to agree, I love the soapbox racing!  {-)
Only motor racing I really watch these days is the 24hr Le Mans.

How do we get to see "soapbox racing" ? Is it the same as Gravity Races , or "Kairties" in Scotland, (carts) not Karting ?

Dave TV so you need sky or some kind of digital box. Not sure if you have to pay for it?

Seems the first episode is from Holland and shown on the 27th of March. I'll be recording that on my Sky box.  :-)

No, its free on freeview tv........just tune your digibox to receive DAVE  on channel 12.

The new series starts on Monday, 28th march.it is a real hoot to watch, and I really am serious when I say much more entertaining than F1.

Well as an avid follower of F1 I was awake at 2am this morning to watch first free practice, and I can definitely say that it lived down to all expectations!

After so many changes that nobody wanted least of all the drivers, they have managed to turn it into a non event that even the likes of Martin Brundle Johnny Herbert and Ted Kravitz can't hype up. Let's hope things improve.

The rain and wind didn't help much either.

You mean, a bit like enforced pauses in building model boats ?

The Dave channel is showing the 2015 series (pretty recent for Dave) so we will have to pay Sky or learn Finnish!

Alas, not all areas get the full range of Freeview channels. We get the bare legally required minimum and Freeview say that's all we'll ever get. So no Dave.

Anyway I've got Sky sports for the tennis (wife is huge Murray fan) so F1 is a bonus for me. Good fun when it clashes with the tennis though. Who gets priority? If quali is boring and the races predictable, I may just watch the highlights.

Well deepstar......'its like watching paint dry'...sometimes I think it would be far more relaxing and definitely more interesting watching that paint dry rather than watching & listening all of that dribble spoken about F1................Derek  :-X

CHAOS RULES!

The new qualifying system is rubbish FACT. You can't have cars sat in the pits and not being given enough time to go out and set a quali time. How can the session finish 4 minutes early because 2 of the last 4 cars don't even bother to leave the pits?

Absolute shambles, it needs to be looked at and quickly.

Hell of a race! Mercedes lucky to get the 1 - 2 after such an appalling start. Poor judgement by Ferrari  on tyres.

But the talking point has to be what MASSIVE accident Fred (Alonso) had. There was nothing left of that car at all. A sure testament to how well constructed these cars really are.

Haas in their first grand prix finishing 6th well done to them. What does the future hold? Well I predict big fireworks in the Toro Rosso team with their two young hotheads, really surprised they both managed to stay on the track.

Roll on the next race - April 1st %%
