What paint
« on: March 22, 2016, 03:11:52 pm »

Hi all,
What paint brand do you more experienced modellers recommend,
I have tried Humbrol pots, but find it slow and tends to leave brush marks, have also tried Humbrol Acrylic spray, find that very washed out. Also Plastikote spray, but had several cans that would not spray, so any other suggestions please

If its the enamel, its supposed to be slow.  Humbrol are currently living down their foray into trusting the Chinese with their production and quality control, but used to be very good, and probably want to be again.  Using better brushes and looking after them properly eliminates the brush mark problem.
Artists regard paint that offers texture as a good thing.  As modelers, we don't.
Preparation, practice, good brushes.

If you try it at home, make sure that the lid is a good fit.
