Hyannis Sandbagger static model to RC
« on: April 01, 2016, 01:33:28 pm »

Just a thought - does anyone reckon that the yacht below could be converted to RC and sailed successfully.   I rather like its skiff like proportions.   It would obviously require a keel and extended rudder, but I was wondering whether its short and broad hull would work with all that sail area.   There is probably also the issue of hull buoyancy and lack thereof.   I just wouldn't want to tear it apart if its going to be a pig to sail.

Hello,

I think you have answered your own questions !.
The Hull is very small, would not carry Rc gear and a fin and ballast.
